Colby Covington put on a title earning performance back at UFC 225. Now the fighter’s sister has come forward with a statement on the matter.
Covington went toe-to-toe with former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos in the co-main event of UFC 225 on Saturday, June 9. The two mixed martial artists battled it out for the interim welterweight title, with Covington ultimately earning the title with a unanimous decision victory.
Speaking backstage after the fight, Covington’s sister decided to call out reigning UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley for Colby Covington.
“There are still gonna be haters, ‘Oh well you didn’t do this right, you didn’t do that right.'” Colby Covington’s sister stated. “Now we got a belt, now what do you have to say? Now we’re coming after Woodley, there’s no stopping us now. Absolutely not.”
