Covington’s Met His Match, And It’s His Mom Who Is Paying The Price

Newly crowned UFC interim welterweight champion Colby Covington has entered a war of words with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu’s Garry Tonon. Now the grappling phenom has decided to fire back.

Appearing on the MMA Roasted podcast, Covington claimed he could submit the five time Eddie Bravo Invitational champion in a grappling match. Taking to Instagram, Tonon has come forward with a response.

Check it out below:

“Yesterday on MMA roasted @colbycovmma said he could beat me in a grappling match. Let’s see it happen, I only have one condition, Colby’s mama has to be there to wipe up the drool after ya boy gets SLEPT!”

Colby Covington faced off against former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos for the interim welterweight title in the co-main event of UFC 225 on June 9. The fight went the distance, with Covington ultimately earning a unanimous decision victory for the belt.
