From Foe To Friend, Edwards Changes Tune On Cerrone Following Five Rounds In Singapore

UFC welterweight Leon Edwards put on a victorious performance over the weekend. Now the mixed martial artist has come forward with some positive words for his opponent.

The highly anticipated fight card for UFC Fight Night 132 took place on Saturday, June 23, from within the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore. Headlining the day’s event, Leon Edwards went toe-to-toe with MMA veteran Donald Cerrone in a battle for division supremacy.

The two fighters went the distance, with Edwards ultimately earning a unanimous decision victory over his opponent. Leading up to the fight, Edwards referred to his opponent as “old” and implied that he himself was part of the next generation of UFC contenders.
