Robert Whittaker In Rough Shape Just Days After War With Romero

UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker put on a fight of the year contender over the weekend. Now a photo of the mixed martial artist has revealed how the fighter appears to be fairing just days removed from the match up.

The highly anticipated fight card for UFC 225 took place on Saturday, June 9, from within the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Headlining the night’s event, UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker went toe-to-toe with former opponent Yoel Romero in a non-title fight.

Romero missed weight for the event making the “Soldier of God” no longer eligible to compete for the title. Still, the two mixed martial artists put on a five round octagon war for the Chicago crowd that has quickly made its way to being a fight of the year contender.
