UFC Confirms Six New Fights For Upcoming Fight Cards

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is currently gearing up for another exciting series of fight cards for the year. Now it would appear that the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion has locked down a collection of new match ups for some of the upcoming events.

As reported by ESPN, the UFC is currently targeting a women’s strawweight fight between Jessica Andrade and Karolina Kowalkiewicz for UFC 228. While UFC 228 has not yet locked down a venue, the targeted forerunner is that the event will likely take place Sept. 8 in Dallas, Texas.

Also reported by ESPN, middleweights Omari Akhmedov and CB Dollaway have been locked in for a match up at UFC Fight Night 136. The event will take place Sept. 15 for the UFC’s debut inside the Olimpiyskiy Arena in Moscow, Russia.

News source Combate has come forward to report that featherweights Cory Sandhagen and Iuri Marajó are now set to compete against each other at UFC Fight Night 135. The event will go down Aug. 25 within the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The UFC has also officially reported that Paul Felder will now be facing off against Mike Perry at UFC 226. Felder was initially set to face off against James Vick on another card, but Vick was pulled from the fight to fill in for another match up.

Mike Perry’s UFC 226 opponent, Yancy Medeiros, had also pulled out of their match up after suffering an injury. Consequently, Perry and Felder will now be throwing down on July 7 from within the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.

The UFC has also officially announced a featherweight war between Andre Fili and Michael Johnson for UFC Fight Night 135.

Finally, the promotion has officially announced that James Vick will be replacing Al Iaquinta in the main event for UFC Fight Night 135. Iaquinta pulled out of his match up against Justin Gaethje, with Vick now accepting the match against Gaethje.
