Daniel Cormier: ‘It’s really not that hard to not test positive for PEDs’

Two-division UFC champion Daniel Cormier faced off against Jon Jones back at UFC 214. The fight’s result was ultimately overturned to a no contest, as Jones failed his drug test for the match up.

Beyond that, D.C. is now looking to fight former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar. Lesnar is currently serving out the final six months of his suspension for failing a drug test back at UFC 200.

With all of that in mind, Daniel Cormier has now come forward to claim that it’s “not that hard” to avoid failing a drug test under USADA. Speaking on the Slip ‘n Dip Podcast, D.C. revealed his thoughts on the matter.

“I’ve been tested by USADA since 2001 and I’ve never once had anything come up. It’s really not that hard to not test positive. Whether it be tainted supplements or anything else. You just don’t cheat. Don’t cheat and you don’t fail the test. It’s really not that hard.”
