Talented knockout artist Mike Perry will be looking to make is way back inside the winning column tonight as the fighter faces off in the “City Of Angels.” Now it’s time to take a look at the UFC results for the exciting match up.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is inside the T-Mobile Arena tonight, July 7, within Las Vegas, Nev. for UFC 226. Featured on the night’s live pay-per-view main card, Mike Perry is now going toe-to-toe with Paul Felder.
Perry is coming off of a two fight losing streak at the moment, as the fighter suffered a unanimous decision loss to Max Griffin and Santiago Ponzinibbio. Perry was initially set to face off against Yancy Medeiros on tonight’s card.
However, Medeiros has since been pulled from the night’s card. Consequently, Paul Felder has stepped up on short notice to face the knockout artist for International Fight Week. Check out the UFC results from the exciting match up below.
The fight opened up at a brutal pace, as Perry walked down his opponent and began landing bombs with his devastating right hand. Felder pressured his opponent into the clinch, but suffered stunning elbows from Perry in the process.
Back in the center of the octagon, the two mixed martial artists entered an intense exchange that left both fighters bloody and cut. This was an intense five minutes inside the octagon.
In the second round, Perry continued to be the aggressor. Within the first minute of the fight, “Platinum” Mike Perry picked up and slammed Felder to the canvas. However, Felder was quick to get back to his feet.
Perry then smashed Felder with a right hand to the face that forced the referee to pause the fight and ask for a doctor, as Felder’s face immediately began pooling into a crimson mask. However, the doctor quickly gave the go ahead and the fight was brought back to the action.
Perry fired out of the gate for the final round with a furry. The fighter began pummeling Felder with right hooks and vicious jabs. Between the second and third round, Felder confirmed that he broke his arm earlier in the bout.
Neither fighter was able to get a finish. This one has gone the distance as a certain fight of the night contender that had the Las Vegas crowd on their feet.
