Felice Herrig Offers First Thoughts On Booking Michelle “Karate Hottie” Waterson Fight

UFC women’s strawweight Felice Herrig has finally locked down her next big octagon performance. Now “Lil Bulldog” has decided to come forward with her thoughts on her upcoming opponent.

Felice Herrig was recently derailed from a four fight winning streak by suffering a tough split decision loss to Karolina Kowalkiewicz back at YFC 223. Now the mixed martial artist will be looking to rebound back into the winning column as she faces tough opponent Michelle Waterson in her next match up.

Herrig and Waterson are now locked in to face off on the highly anticipated fight card of UFC 229. The event will take place Oct. 6 from within the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.

UFC 229 will air live on pay-per-view and will be headlined by a lightweight title fight between reigning undefeated champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and former title holder Conor McGregor. Taking to Instagram, Felice Herrig has decided to offer her thoughts on landing her big match up for the event.

“I’m excited to announce my next fight! On Oct 6th I will fight Michelle Waterson. Some of you don’t know, but Michelle and go way back to the days when women in MMA was not even a thought. We were on the Muay Thai reality show “fight girls” together. Everyone always talked about us fighting then but we never did. Michelle and I are both veterans now and I am happy we are both still in the game together and here at the highest level. We’ve both come a long way since Fight Girls. And here we both are 11 years later fighting each other.”
