Jon Jones Addresses The Rumors That He’s Returning At UFC New York In November

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has not competed inside the octagon since failing another drug test back in 2017. That being said, the former title holder has now come forward to address a recent rumor that he is potentially being targeted for a big octagon return later this year.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has yet to lock down a main event for UFC 230. The live pay-per-view card will take place Nov. 3 from within the Madison Square Garden in New York.

Rumors have since emerged that Jon Jones is potentially being considered for the night’s main event. Of course, Jon Jones failed a drug test for UFC 214 back in 2017.

The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) went on to fine Jon Jones $205, 000 for his latest failed drug test, before revoking the fighter’s license to compete. As the license was revoked on Aug. 28, 2017, “Bones” Jones will be eligible to apply for a new license come Aug. 28, 2018.

Meanwhile, however, the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) have yet to issue a verdict concerning the failed drug test. As it is not Jon Jones’ first failed test, the former champion could be punished with a multiple year suspension from the octagon.

That being said, Jon Jones recently offered a cryptic response to the rumor that he will be fighting at UFC 230. Check it out below.
