Ronda Returns To WWE Action As Champ, Dedicates World Title To All Women

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey made history over the weekend. Now the former title holder has decided to dedicated the accomplishment to all women.

Ronda Rousey defeated Alexa Bliss at WWE’s SummerSlam on Sunday to become the first woman in history to have earned a UFC and a WWE title. Appearing on Monday Night Raw the following day, Rousey was gifted a unique WWE Raw Women’s belt for her accomplishment.

During the ceremony, Rousey submitted Stephanie McMahon with an armbar before stating that her accomplishment was for women everywhere.

“@stephaniemcmahon, I can’t deny the fact that you have been a driving force in the #WomensEvolution, everyone in the @wwe should be grateful for you – Including myself…. but like I said last night, the women’s evolution is about ALL of us. That title represents not the work of one person, but the accumulative effort of everyone woman that has ever pursued it. And as the new #RawWomensChampion it’s my charge to make sure every woman in that locker room get the respect she deserves, even from you @stephaniemcmahon.”
