T.J. Dillashaw Retains World Title, Finishes Garbrandt In Round 1 | UFC Results

The time has finally come. Former UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt is now stepping inside the octagon to face off against reigning title holder and heated rival T.J. Dillashaw for a highly anticipated title fight rematch.

UFC 227 is taking place from within the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif. tonight, Aug. 4, live on pay-per-view. Dillashaw and “No Love” are headlining the night’s event for the Los Angeles crowd.

Dillashaw and Garbrandt first faced off back at UFC 217. “No Love” rocked his opponent in the first round, but Dillashaw was ultimately saved by the bell. In the second round, Dillashaw earned a TKO victory over his opponent for the title.

Now the two mixed martial arts warriors are battling it out once again for division dominance. Check out the UFC results from the stunning match up down below.

The fight opened up with a furry. Garbrandt fired out of the gate, striking his opponent with some tough kicks.

Garbrandt stunned Dillashaw with a right hand near the middle of the round, as the fighter Team Alpha Male warrior continued to push the pace. The two fighters then entered a heated exchange that ended in Dillashaw earning a knockout victory over his opponent.
