After Rumors Of Move To Lightweight, GSP’s Walk Around Weight Revealed

Former two-division champion Georges St-Pierre has not competed inside the octagon since 2017. Following rumors that the French-Canadian phenom is considering a drop to the UFC’s lightweight division, St-Pierre’s current walk-around weight has been revealed.

St-Pierre made his mark in the MMA world at 170 pounds as a welterweight. However, the fighter vacated his UFC welterweight title four years ago following a close championship defense against Johny Hendricks.

St-Pierre returned to the sport to fight Michael Bisping for the UFC middleweight title at UFC 217 in 2017. The fighter finished Bisping for the belt, but later vacated the title over issues with colitis.

Since then, rumors have been spreading that St-Pierre is considering a move to the UFC lightweight division. MMA Fighting’s Shaheen Al-Shatti has since come forward to report that St-Pierre is currently walking around lighter than some UFC lightweights usually do at a total 183 pounds.
