Models Dessie Mitcheson and Kayla Fitz were ring card girls for the first outing between boxing phenoms Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin. However, the two former Tecate girls will not be doing the same for the rematch.
Mitcheson and Fitz recently posed for the camera in a video by director Chris Applebaum. Within the video, the two models donned bikinis for a scorching Tecate promo.
Speaking to TMZ Sports, Mitcheson and Fitz revealed that they are not being invited back for Alvarez vs. GGG II. “They said it was too sexy,” Mitcheson said. “It looked too much like a commercial. No one was paid for it and we got fired. I actually got physically pulled off the stage during weigh-ins and we got canned.”
The controversial Tecate promo can be seen within the video provided above. Alvarez vs. GGG II is set to go down Sept. 15 from within the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.
