Former UFC Champ Andrei Arlovski Takes Big Loss In Moscow | UFC Results

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is delivering another stunning fight card today for fight fans worldwide. With the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion making its big Russia debut today, the time has come to take a look at the UFC results from the exciting fight card.

UFC Fight Night 136 is taking place within the Olimplyskiy Stadium in Moscow, Russia today, Sept. 15, for fight fans around the world. Continuing the day’s live UFC Fight Pass main card, former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski and Shamil Abdurakhimov are now throwing down for division supremacy.

The first opened up as largely a feeling out process for each fighter. Abdurakhimov dropped the former title holder later in the round, but the moment was arguably a slip on Arlovski’s part. Arlovski began teeing off in the final minute of the round, making it a tough first round for the judges.

Abdurakhimov caught a leg kick from the former champion early in the first round, taking advantage of the moment by taking the fighter to the ground. Arlovski, however, quickly made his way to his feet without taking much damage.

Arlovski then managed to get two take takedowns of his own, finishing the round from a dominant position. This was seemingly a strong five minutes for the former champion.

In the final round, Arlovski suffered two accidental blows quickly on. After suffering an illegal eye poke, the former champion later suffered a low blow.

However, the former title holder continued strong until the final bell. This one has gone the distance.

UFC Results: Shamil Abdurakhimov def. Andrei Arlovski via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27 and 30-27)
