Jon Jones Explains When Lying To Fans Is O.K.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington are not just fellow UFC fighters. The two talented mixed martial artists are also former roommates.

Jones and Covington were seemingly once at least cordial with each other. However, the two fighters have since entered a heated rivalry.

Speaking to RT Sport, Jon Jones has since revealed an interesting point of view concerning his thoughts on lying to fans. While Jones chastised Covington for allegedly lying to fans, the former UFC light heavyweight champion also revealed that he believes there are times when lying is permissible.

“He lies about things that aren’t even really important. I can see you lying if it’s life or death, or if it’s really going to be a detriment to your career or something, but he just makes up lies. I really feel sorry for him to be that type of person. I really feel sorry for him. I don’t know if that is fixable. That’s what I think of him.”
