Rumor: UFC Now Considering Pushing D.C. Aside and Targeting Jones vs. Lesnar

Two-division UFC champion Daniel Cormier called out former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar back at UFC 216. That being said, it would appear that the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) potentially has another match up in mind for the former title holder.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion and heated rival to D.C., Jon Jones failed a drug test for UFC 214. Consequently, USADA has sanctioned a 15-month retroactive suspension against “Bones” Jones. The fighter will be eligible to compete on Oct. 28, 2018.

Middle Easy has since reported that a new rumor is floating around. Jon Jones is potentially being considered as an opponent for Brock Lesnar over Daniel Cormier. Check out Middle Easy’s original report down below.

“Now that he is officially reinstated, rumors are picking up that the UFC may pivot away from DC vs. Brock. The new talk is the UFC is quickly falling in love with the idea of Jon Jones vs. Brock Lesnar in 2019.”
