Tito Ortiz Claims The UFC Made $40 Million In His First Chuck Liddell Fight

Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz are mixed martial arts legends. Both former UFC light heavyweight champions, Liddell and Ortiz have battled it out inside the octagon twice throughout their storied fighting careeers.

Speaking to media at a recent press conference, Tito Ortiz revealed that the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) allegedly made $40 million off of the first Liddell vs. Ortiz match up.

“When you are getting paid $150,000 to go out make a company $40 million, it doesn’t make great business sense.” Ortiz said, explaining why their trilogy rematch is not taking place inside the octagon.

Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz are now set to face off live on pay-per-view from within The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. on Nov. 24 under Golden Boy MMA promotion.
