Former ONE welterweight champion Ben Askren is officially on the roster of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Now the former title holder has come forward with his first statement since the big news.

The UFC has been in negotiations with fellow mixed martial arts promotion ONE Championship over trading former UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson for Ben Askren. The deal has since been finalized following a series of negotiations.
