Brendan Schaub Claims Khabib Wants To Retire With Victory At UFC 229

Khabib Nurmagomedov is undefeated within his mixed martial arts career. Now 26-0, the UFC lightweight champion is set to face off against MMA megastar Conor McGregor in the main event of UFC 229 on Oct. 6.

Speaking on Joe Rogan’s famous podcast, former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub has now come forward to claim that Khabib Nurmagomedov is potentially considering retiring from the sport of MMA if he defeats Conor McGregor.

“I think with Khabib and what he represents… talking to his team, team captain Josh Thompson, he goes ‘Khabib’s going to retire after this.’ He wants to beat Conor and retire. He wants to retire like the Floyd Mayweather of MMA.”
