More Changes Have Been Made On The UFC 230 Card, Here’s The Latest

UFC 230 has gone through quite a few changes as of late. Now the fight card has finally gained back two match ups.

UFC 230 is set to take place Nov. 3 from within the illustrious Madison Square Garden in New York. The event was initially set to feature a co-headliner between Nate Diaz and Dustin Poirier.

However, Poirier pulled out of the fight after suffering an injury. Diaz was consequently also taken off the card by the UFC.

A headliner for UFC 230 was only chosen after tickets for the card had already gone on sale. Valentina Shevchenko was set to fight Sijara Eubanks for the vacant UFC women’s flyweight title in the headliner.

However, the UFC has since removed the fight from the card and replaced it with a UFC heavyweight title fight main event between Daniel Cormier and Derrick Lewis. Meanwhile, former UFC middleweights champions Chris Weidman and Luke Rockhold were locked in for a co-main event rematch.

However, Luke Rockhold has since been pulled from the event due to an injury of his own. ESPN’s Brett Okamoto has since reported that Chris Weidman is now set to fight Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza in the night’s co-main event. Meanwhile David Branch, Souza’s original opponent for UFC 230, is now set to fight Jared Cannonier.
