Michael Bisping Now Holds The UFC Record For Being Dropped More Than Any Man In History

Things have not being going Michael Bisping’s way as of late. Now it would appear that the former UFC middleweight champion has set a record that the fighter perhaps would not have wished to break.

Michael Bisping suffered the end of his title reign at UFC 217 in New York. Three weeks after being choked out by Georges St-Pierre in Madison Square Garden, “The Count” stepped into the octagon in Shanghai, China. However, things once again did not go Bisping’s way.

Stepping in on short notice, “The Count” filled the empty main event slot across from Kelvin Gastelum for Saturday’s, Nov. 25, UFC Fight Night 122. Bisping filled in for Anderson Silva who was pulled from the card after failing an out of competition USADA drug test.

Gastelum put Bisping on a losing streak with a brutal first round knockout finish. As reported by Bloody Elbow, Bisping’s recent performance against Gastelum set “The Count” at a new record. Michael Bisping is now the most knocked down fighter in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

All in all, Bisping has suffered a total 12 knockdowns. Dan Henderson has the second most with 11 and Keith Jardine is in third place with 10.
