For over a year now, there’s been a debate between T.J. Dillashaw and Team Alpha Male.
On one side, TAM fighters have said that Dillashaw cheap shotted teammate and Ultimate Fighter Winner Chris Holdsworth with a career ending knee to the head.
On the other side, Dillashaw has continued to say that’s just not true.
Up until just a few moments ago, just about everyone has chimed in on the subject except Chris Holdsworth himself, but he just did on The MMA Hour.
Holdsworth cleared the air on what he knows about T.J. Dillashaw, and he didn’t hold back, even accusing his former teammate of PED use.
“There was multiple occasions where T.J. got a little too aggressive. He went overboard in training. He’s kneeing you while we’re boxing. Throwing elbows while we’re doing jiu jitsu.”
“That instance that is out in the public is definitely true. I shot in on T.J., I was on all fours, he was sprawled out, and he kneed me on top of the head.
“That was before The Ultimate fighter. I remember I was kind of jarred up. Everyone was watching. I took three-seconds off but I kept going. I kept going through the rounds and I finished practice. But, after that practice, I was concussed and that was my first concussion, and it kind of kept happening from there.
“There was another instance leading up to the Chico fight, when he was getting ready for Barao. And I heard he was on some “special supplements” and stuff. I just lost respect for the guy. There’s no hard feelings. It is what it is, but he’s a cheater.
“You can talk to a lot of his training partners. It doesn’t matter if it was on purpose or if it wasn’t on purpose, there were multiple occasions. I’m not trying to throw knees when I’m sprawling on someone. It’s just not what we do.
“… There was multiple occasionas. It is what it is. I’m happy where I’m at right now. I’ve moved passed it.
After the retired fighters statement of Dillashaw’s PED use, show host Ariel Helwani asked him to clarify that he was indeed implying steroids.
Holdsworth replied, “You’re a smart guy ariel. You can put two and two together. You know!”
“… I’m no trying to harp, or throw him under the bus. But I’m telling the truth. You guys can take it how you take it.
“It’s going to be a great fight Satuday night. “
