Floyd Mayweather Brings In Tyron Woodley, Will Start MMA Camp Next Week

Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. is retired from the sport. That being said, the undefeated pugilist has seemingly found an interest in mixed martial arts.

“Money” Mayweather first snagged the interest of MMA fans when he faced off against UFC superstar Conor McGregor inside the squared circle back on Aug. of 2017. The undefeated boxer ultimately earned a TKO victory over “Notorious.”

Mayweather slipped back into retirement after the bout, but has since been hinting to an interest in competing within the sport of MMA. Since then, it has been revealed that UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley has been in talks with Mayweather over possibly help train the retired boxer.

Speaking in a recent live Q&A with fans over social media, Woodley has since come forward to claim that he will be training Mayweather next week.

“Yeah, I’m training Floyd. I just talked to Floyd. He was in Singapore (and) somewhere else. I just talked to him a couple of days ago. So when he gets back in town next week, me and him are going to start training.”
