WBA (Super), WBC, IBF, and IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin was initially targeted to throw down with Canelo Alvarez for a highly anticipated rematch. The two first went toe-to-toe back in 2017, from inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.

However, the fight ultimately ended in a highly controversial draw. Consequently, boxing fans have been fervently waiting for a rematch between the two pugilist phenoms.

Well, the two were locked in to go at it inside the same T-Mobile Arena today for Cinco De Mayo. However, Alvarez has been suspended after failing drug tests.
