Bitter Rivals Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier Are Making The Rounds Together — Watch

Former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier are now set to throw down for a highly anticipated rematch. With that in mind, the two mixed martial artists recently took a moment to set their differences aside in order to support a teenager recovering from a serious car accident.

Alvarez and Poirier first faced off back at UFC 211. While Poirier was seemingly setting the better of his opponent, the fight was ultimately called to a no contest as Alvarez landed a series of illegal blows to his opponent that were deemed accidental.

Now Poirier and Alvarez will have a chance to settle the score at UFC on FOX 30. The event goes down July 28 in Calgary, Canada.

Meanwhile, Poirier and Alvarez recently took a moment to visit 19-year-old Ryan Straschnitzki. The teenager was on a bus with fellow teammates of Humboldt Broncos Saskatchewan junior hockey team on April 6 when the vehicle was struck by a semi-truck.

A total of 16 people were killed in the crash and another 13 were injured. Straschnitzki was left paralyzed from the incident, as well as suffering several other injuries.

Check out the video below to see Poirier and Alvarez give Straschnitzki a visit on his journey to recovery.
