Stipe Miocic Reacts To Getting Knocked Out By D.C. In The UFC 226 Main Event

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) hosted a historical night of fights over the weekend. Following his title ending first round knockout loss, Stipe Miocic has come forward with a statement.

UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier moved up in weight to challenge UFC heavyweight title holder Stipe Miocic for his belt in the stunning main event of UFC 226 this weekend. The two mixed martial artists went toe-to-toe on Saturday, July 7, for International Fight Week.

Live on pay-per-view from within the T-Mobile Arena, Daniel Cormier knocked out Miocic for the heavyweight title within the first round. Cormier is now the second fighter in UFC history to simultaneously hold two division titles, second only to UFC megastar Conor McGregor.

“It sucks, but I have way more to be happy about.” Miocic said, speaking to media after the bout. “I have a daughter, that’s all I care about.”
