Now Medically Cleared To Fight, Tony Ferguson Reveals Target Date For Octagon Return

Former interim UFC lightweight champion Tony Ferguson recently revealed that he is now medically cleared to fight. Now the former title holder has come forward to reveal his target date for an octagon return.

Tony Ferguson tore his knee just six days before a scheduled fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov for the vacant UFC lightweight title. After being pulled from the match up, “El Cucuy” underwent a grueling recovery process from his injury.

Now taking to Twitter, Tony Ferguson claims he is simply waiting for an opponent to take him on at UFC 229. UFC 229 goes down Oct. 6, live on pay-per-view. Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor will be fighting for the UFC lightweight title in the night’s main event.
