Talented knockout artist Derrick Lewis is now set to throw down for the UFC heavyweight title. That being said, reigning champion Daniel Cormier does not believe the rising title challenger has much of a chance.
Daniel Cormier and Derrick Lewis are set to throw down in the main event of UFC 230. The fight will take place live on pay-per-view Nov. 3.
Speaking at the recent UFC 230 open workouts, Daniel Cormier gave a hype worthy speech in which the champion revealed that he doesn’t believe Derrick Lewis has a chance against him.
“There are levels to this game.” Cormier said. “I am the highest level. I am the A standard. I am what mixed martial arts is made of. Derrick Lewis has a puncher’s chance to beat me on Saturday night.
“If you have a puncher’s chance to beat Daniel Cormier, then you have no chance at all.”
