With High Injury Rate, WSOF Forced To Proceed With Just 3 Main Card Fights

Following a recent injury, the WSOF will be short a single bout for Saturday’s WSOF 35 event.

On the main card for 35, there will be three exciting title fights. Heavyweight champion Blagoy Ivanov will be facing Shawn Jordan. Featherweight champion Lance Palmer will be defending his title from Andre Harrison. Bekbulat Magomedov and Donovan Frelow will be going toe-to-toe for the vacant bantamweight title.

However, the welterweight bout Abubakar Nurmagomedov vs. Matt Secor has been pushed off of the main card and will now conclude the preliminary card. Initially set to end the preliminary card, MMA Junkie has reported that middleweight Eli Wynter has suffered an ankle injury.

Initially set to face Phil Hawes, the bout has since been cancelled, leaving the main card with only three fights.

WSOF 35 goes down tomorrow night in Verona, New York with Blagoy Ivanov facing Shawn Jordan in the main event.
