On the twentieth day of the fourth month every single year, medicinal marijuana users worldwide light up and celebrate 4/20. It would not surprise anybody if United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) agents worldwide are knocking on athletes doors hoping to catch them in the act during a “random” drug test.
Some of the biggest names in mixed martial arts have been flagged for testing positive for marijuana metabolites, most famously Nick Diaz after his failed test for his fight with Anderson “The Spider” Silva at UFC 183 years ago.
UFC commentator Joe Rogan is one of the biggest advocates of marijuana and has made it well-known that he believes the drug could be beneficial if the person who is utilizing it is responsible. While fighters like Diego Sanchez have blamed marijuana for health issues in the past, other fighters smoke often.
