D.C.: ‘Conor vs. Floyd is an embarrassment to the UFC’

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Conor “Notorious” McGregor recently agreed to terms with the UFC president for his potential fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. With the bout becoming seemingly more real, fighters and fans have begun speculating on what this could mean for the sport.

UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier recently appeared on UFC on FOX, in which the champion gave his opinion of the potential matchup. In the segment, Daniel Cormier explained that he believes UFC fighters may face brutal losses within the boxing ring.

“These dudes will get slept, it’s going to be embarrassing, so no, it is not good for the UFC. Conor, hats off to you, make your money, but don’t get slept! Which might happen to him.” Cormier stated.

UFC President Dana White recently claimed that Conor “Notorious” McGregor’s end of the fight deal has been locked in. However, Dana White is still negotiating with Floyd Mayweather and his team.
