“Big Country” Reacts To Making His Bellator Debut Alongside Two Friendly Faces

Beloved MMA heavyweight Roy Nelson is excited about making his Bellator MMA debut.

At Bellator 183, on Sept. 23, Nelson will fight Javy Ayala in San Jose, California.

When Bellator CEO Scott Coker tweeted about the upcoming fight card, Nelson responded showing his eagerness to get into the Bellator cage.

“Can’t wait,” Nelson responded to Coker’s tweet.

Nelson will be accompanied by some familiar UFC faces when he fights at Bellator 183.

Bellator 183 will be headlined by former UFC Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson fighting Patricky “Pitbull” Freire in a pivotal lightweight fight that will likely decide the next contender for the Bellator lightweight title.

Nelson will also likely be accompanied by longtime UFC commentator Mike Goldberg, who has recently started doing commentary for Bellator.

Nelson left the UFC following his last fight. In April, he lost a decision to former Bellator Heavyweight Champion Alexander Volkov.
