UFC Results: Martin Earns Decision Win Over Case In Back-And-Fourth Battle

The UFC made its long-awaited return to Oklahoma City for a special Sunday edition of UFC Fight Night.

The event featured a combination of former champions, top contenders, and rising prospects.

Lightweights went to war on the UFC Fight Pass prelims as Tony Martin fought Johnny Case.

Case landed kicks to the body and legs to start the fight. Case was the more active fighter in the beginning of the fight. However, Martin did not back down and waited patiently to throw his shots. Martin began to have more success with his punches. He even managed to wobble Case at one point. Martin went for a takedown at the end of the round. The round ended with Case stopping the takedown and getting back to the center of the cage.

Both fighters traded blows to start the second round. Martin appeared to have rocked Case early in the round. Case quickly recovered and continued to be active with his striking. Martin busted Case open and began to trash talk his opponent. Both fighters had success landing punches throughout the round. The round ended with Martin landing a picture-perfect head kick.

Case started the final round as the more active fighter. Martin landed hard counters whenever Case would throw a flurry of strikes. Martin later landed a clean knee to Case’s head. Both fighters trading hard punches in the remainder of the round. At the end of the round, Martin landed the first takedown of the fight. Martin ended the fight with a kimura attempt but ran out of time.
