Floyd Mayweather Releases A Statement On Calling Conor McGregor a “F*ggot”

UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor and boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. made the final stop on their press conference world tour last night. Stopping in London, England, the two competitors hashed it out for one more evening of trash-talking and staredowns.

However, controversy struck when Floyd Mayweather Jr. called his future opponent a “f**got.” Now, Mayweather has come forward with a statement on the matter.

In a statement provided by TMZ Sports, a representative of Floyd Mayweather Jr. claimed “The reason Floyd called Conor the F word is because Conor called Floyd a monkey.”

The statement continues, “Floyd has nothing against gays or lesbians, Floyd has them on his staff, I love all of them.”

Mayweather’s representative then finishes with, “Floyd has nothing but the utmost respect for gays and lesbians.”
