McGregor Completes Community Service Obligations, Mentors Kids About Verbal Bullying

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Conor “Notorious” McGregor entered a heated streak of trash-talking with opponent Nate Diaz heading into the press conference for last year’s UFC 202. During the press conference, the UFC champion and Nate Diaz began throwing bottles at each other. Now, Conor McGregor has completed community service ordered by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

As reported by USA Today, Conor McGregor has spent time with teenagers and children discussing various forms of bullying. In a recent letter signed by SBG Ireland head coach John Kavanagh, the coach stated “He has been showing up earlier to our kids and teens classes, to interact with them and instill values of loyalty, commitment and camaraderie… He is undoubtedly the greatest role model for the kids in our gym, and for the people of Ireland of all ages.”

Following the incident at the UFC 202 press conference, Conor McGregor was charged by the NSAC to complete 25 hours of community service and to pay a $25,000 fine.
