Coach Predicts Conor McGregor Goes Down Inside Four Rounds

Floyd Mayweather’s trainer doesn’t believe UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor will last more than four rounds in his boxing debut.

On Aug. 26, McGregor will fight Mayweather in a 12-round boxing match at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Mayweather’s trainer, Nate Jones, doesn’t think the UFC champion will last long against one of the greatest boxers of all time.

“We’re going to fight him,” Jones told the Los Angeles Times. “We know this is something new for him. So, Floyd’s going to turn the gas on early. We’re going to fight him. We don’t think he can go past four rounds. So we’ll burn the gas out of him (early), make it a tough fight for him.”

McGregor has also predicted that he will end the fight in the early rounds. So if either fighter’s prediction is correct, someone will get knocked out come Aug. 26.

“We know we’re going to get his tank blown early,” Jones said. “We’re going to let him see things, show him all that stuff early. Let him see what he’s been dealing with, make him more confused. Because he’s new to this, and he ain’t ready for this.”
