UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor appears to have done some damage to his sparring partner, retired professional boxer, Paulie Malignaggi.
McGregor brought in Malignaggi to help him prepare for his professional boxing debut. Later this month, McGregor is scheduled to fight Floyd “Money” Mayweather in a boxing match.
While training, Malignaggi was sporting off a black eye during a sparring session with McGregor. The damage done to Malignaggi can be seen in the photo below.
Recently, Malignaggi has come out on numerous occasions and claimed McGregor didn’t have incredible punching power, but it seems the UFC champion can still do some damage to some of boxing’s best.
Despite not having any professional boxing experience, McGregor is one of the most lethal strikers in all of MMA. McGregor’s knockout power has led to him winning two UFC championships.
On Aug. 26, McGregor will fight Mayweather in a 12-round boxing match that will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
