Back in 2008, UFC superstar Conor McGregor was dealt his first defeat as a professional MMA competitor. Facing off against Artemij Sitenkov at Cage of Truth 3, the now reigning UFC lightweight champion suffered a swift first round submission defeat to his opponent. Now, it would appear that Artemij Sitenkov is selling his fight shorts from the performance on eBay.
In an interview with MMA Fighting, Artemij Sitenkov explained what gave him the idea to auction the shorts on eBay.
“I just found them in my closet, and somehow I figured out that those were the trunks that I defeated McGregor in. And since I’m involved in charity, and I take some kids from the orphanage to train them for free, my acquaintance — who involved me with a specific charity — told me about a program. I don’t have a lot of money, and somehow the idea came. I thought it would be cool.”
