Floyd Mayweather Has Decided Not to Bet on Himself Against Conor McGregor

It appears Floyd “Money” Mayweather will not bet on himself to be victorious this weekend against UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.

According to ESPN, Mayweather will not bet on himself to win his 50th professional boxing match.

“He’s never bet on himself,” a source with knowledge of Mayweather’s betting history told ESPN. “He’s very superstitious and that’s the one thing he doesn’t bet on, his own fights, ever. His friends and crew bet small on him, but he has never done it.”

Mayweather is known for placing large bets on sporting events. He once bet over $1 million on a college football game back in 2012 and won $1 million.

Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
