New: Paulie Trashes Conor’s Punching Power — “It’s Severely Overrated”

Retired professional boxer Paul Malignaggi is not impressed with UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor’s punching power.

Malignaggi was recently brought in to spar with McGregor, while he is preparing to make his professional boxing debut.

Later this month, McGregor is scheduled to fight Floyd “Money” Mayweather in a boxing match. Despite not having any boxing experience, McGregor is known for being one of the most lethal strikers in MMA.

Malignaggi recently came out and said McGregor’s punching power wasn’t that impressive while wearing boxing gloves.

“They had everyone thinking like it’s this God-like power. Like it’s this thing you’ve never felt in your life before,” Malignaggi said about McGregor’s power. “And like I said, if you have that power, you’ll feel it in 16oz gloves. I felt it in other sparring partners.”

Malignaggi went on to say that McGregor has decent power and you wouldn’t want to get hit clean by him.

“I’ll tell you what, It’s the kind of power where I’m not going to put my head out and say ‘hit me as many times as you want’ because I’ll feel that,” Malignaggi said.

“It’s grown man power. It’s not super power. It’s grown man power and a lot of people have grown man power.”
