Dana White Closes The Book On Brock Lesnar Ever Returning To The UFC

Rumors swirled that former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar may be making a return to the octagon. The WWE superstar was called out by Jon Jones at UFC 214. Of course, Jon Jones has since failed his drug test for UFC 214, stopping any rumors of Lesnar’s octagon return in their tracks. Now UFC President Dana White has come forward with his thoughts on the situation.

Appearing on the Dan LeBatard Show, Dana White explained that Lesnar would have had to wait out his WWE contract if he was to return to the UFC.

“Lesnar was still under contract with WWE till next August. Who knows what would have happened. I don’t count my chickens anymore, I’ll tell you that.”

Of course, Dana White revealed that he doubts the WWE would be interested in allowing Lesnar to compete in the UFC while under contract with the pro-wrestling organization.

“They didn’t want to do that again. You saw what happened last time he was under contract and it doesn’t look good for anybody.”

Of course anything can happen, but the UFC president just closed the Brock Lesnar chapter, until further notice.
