Daren Till Promises To Outperform Conor McGregor With Three UFC Straps

Darren Till is looking to be the best the UFC has ever seen. While the fighter put on a dominant display over Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone at UFC Fight Night 118, his victory was far from enough to make Till king of the welterweight division. Now Till has his sights set on not one, not two but three separate UFC titles.

Speaking on The MMA Hour, as transcribed by MMA Fighting, Darren Till compared his dream of three UFC title to that of Conor McGregor. “Notorious” made UFC history when he became the first competitor to simultaneously hold two different UFC titles.

“This has been a thought of mine for a few years now, for the last two or three. Just because of how big I am I know I can’t stay at welterweight forever and the way you see a guy like Conor getting the two.

“To me, now, that’s already been done, so now I need three. I need to beat him in that because when I say I want to be the greatest, I don’t want people to question it and go, ‘Well hang on, GSP, Jon Jones…’

“I just want people to say, ‘Darren’s at the top, and they’re all below Darren.’ That’s what I see and that’s what will happen.”
