Is The UFC Angling For A Diaz vs. McGregor Part III?

It’s been a long time since fight fans have seen Conor McGregor in the UFC’s Octagon, and in just two weeks, the infamous Irish fighter is expected to get stripped of his last UFC world title, due to inactivity.

Conor McGregor broke out into super stardom after he went 1-1 with Nate Diaz in a two fight series. Both fights broke the UFC’s top pay-per-view records, and cemented both athletes as must see attractions for all fight fans.

Nate Diaz, who is also a top UFC draw, has also been absent from the cage, for even longer than Conor McGregor.

With no title in the way of a trilogy fight, and bother fighters expressing their interest in a third showdown, the UFC has recently put together a list of their top fights of all time.

And what better way to sell a trilogy than to list the first and second bouts as the promotion’s #1 and #2 fights of all time?

Fight fans already know these two fights did not disappoint, and the UFC is making sure to remind everyone just how good they were.

Oddly though, it’s uncharacteristic to grant Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor the #1 and #2 slots, if they weren’t hoping to sell fans on a third and final trilogy fight.

Here’s how the UFC ranks all their fights:
