Another exciting night of fights is now in the books. With that in mind, the night’s defeated headliner is now taking the internet by storm.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) made a trip to Brooklyn, New York on Saturday night, April 7, for the promotion’s latest fight card. This time around, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion hosted the highly anticipated fight card of UFC 223 from within the Barclays Center.
Headlining the night’s event, undefeated UFC lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov went toe-to-toe with Al Iaquinta in an octagon war for division dominance. Nurmagomedov put on a dominant display over his opponent, ultimately earning a unanimous decision for the undisputed UFC lightweight title.
During the reading of the final score, Iaquinta jokingly waited in anticipation as if his name was be announced as the winner. The hilarious moment has since been making its way around the internet. Check it out below:
