CM Punk’s New MMA Move Goes Viral, With New First Inside The Cage

Former WWE superstar CM Punk made his highly anticipated octagon return over the weekend. While the fighter failed to earn a victory, CM Punk did manage to show fight fans something never seen before.

CM Punk made his professional mixed martial arts debut inside the octagon, having faced off against Mickey Gall. Punk suffered a tough first round submission loss to the fighter.

Two years later, Punk entered the octagon once more for UFC 225 on Saturday, June 9. Having faced off against fellow 0-1 fighter Mike Jackson, Punk suffered yet another tough loss.

During the fight, CM Punk decided to go for an unorthodox headlock from the standing position. After the technique failed, Punk decided to simply leap onto his standing opponent and try again.

After holding Punk for a moment, Mike Jackson elected to slam the fighter into the canvas. In the end, Jackson earned a dominant unanimous decision victory over his opponent.
