Adesanya Delivers On Hype, Takes Out Tavares In Biggest Fight Of His Career | UFC Results

Fight fans are flooding into the Pearl Theatre in Las Vegas, Nev. on Friday, July 6, for the latest fight card from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). This time around, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion is hosting the finale for The Ultimate Fighter Season 27.

Headlining the night’s event, middleweights Brad Tavares and Israel Adesanya are throwing down for the Las Vegas crowd. Check out the UFC results down below.

Tavares pushed the pace in the opening moment of the first round, seemingly content with trading with “The Last Stylebender.” The first five minutes of the fight largely took place on the feet, as the two fighters entered a series of exchanges.

In the second round, Adesanya began to pick up his rhythm. The fighter began to punish his opponent with brutal body kicks. Adesanya seemed to be getting the better of his opponent in the exchanges.

For the third round, Adesanya began to relax and find his pacing. The fighter began to go to work, dishing out a series of stylish techniques in his striking.

However, Tavares began to utilize his clinch work and pressured Adesanya into the fence. Still, Adesanya managed to get back to the center of the octagon.

The fighter rocked Tavares with a brutal flurry of blows, but failed to get a finish before the sound of the bell.

The fourth round opened up as a dominant one for Tavares, as the fighter wrestled his opponent to the canvas. However, the fighter’s opponent managed to get back to his feet before suffering too much damage. Adesanya cut Tavares’ eye with a brutal elbow, causing the doctor to have to inspect the fighter.

This was ultimately another dominant round for Adesanya.

Neither fighter appeared terribly gassed from their 20 minute war inside the octagon once the final round began. Tavares attempted to battle with Adesanya, but was ultimately outgunned by his opponent.

This one has gone the distance.
