Last Saturday’s UFC on Fox 23 in Denver, Colorado was home to a multitude of performance of the nights, with all four main card bouts receiving the bonus. That being said, it would appear that Dana White is not satisfied with everyone’s pay just yet.
In the post-event news conference, White noted
“I just want to point out that Li (Jingliang) and Bobby Nash was so hard to – I thought that was ‘Fight of the Night,’ That fight was ridiculous. I’m going to give those guys a little something, too. I loved that fight.”
White has not committed to a lump sum for the fighters’ prizes, but claimed
“I will give them much more then a regular ‘great fight’ bonus. I loved that fight!”
Bobby Nash lost the bout to Jingliang Li by knockout at the end of the second round, but not before putting on a flurry of blows in his own rite.
Denver’s UFC on Fox 23 was headlined by a bout between Valentina Shevchenko vs Julianna Pena. Shevchenko took home the win with a second round submission.
Shevchenko is currently ranked number one in the bantamweight division and is expected to be next in line to contend for the championship title against Amanda Nunes.
