Before stunning the crowd with his third round tko against Aaron Derrow at Bellator 171, David “Caveman” Rickels made yet another wonderful display of his entrance to the mat. This time he made it a challenge, one worthy to keep social media buzzing for some time. Enter in, the mannequin challenge.
The camera panning in for a shot of the walkway, every fan and ring girl in sight was frozen in place as the view pulled around to the caveman himself. His crew and his own self were calmly still. Upon the Caveman reaching full view of the camera, he began striding through the frozen crowd. Rickels waltzed his way to another victory inside the Bellator ring.
MMA is known for being unconventional, but it’s nice to know that there are still strange and interesting things left to be seen, on and off the mat. A crowd sized mannequin challenge is one for the books.
