On WWE’s Monday Night RAW, Paul Heyman, the advocate of former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, brought up former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey’s recent losses in the UFC.
Heyman compared Lesnar to Rousey due to Lesnar’s recent struggles as of late against WWE star Bill Goldberg.
“Ronda Rousey kicked everybody’s a** in UFC,” Heyman said. “Tapped them out to armbars in record time. Yeah but, then she got her faced smashed in by Holly Holm.”
Heyman was referencing Rousey’s loss to Holm in Nov. 2015. At UFC 193, Rousey lost her first fight of her career, and her UFC title, when she was knocked out by Holm.
The WWE referencing Rousey on their show may be a sign of things to come. With UFC President Dana White saying he believes Rousey is done with the sport, there is always a possibility of Rousey joining the world of professional wrestling.
It is no secret Rousey is a fan of professional wrestling, she made an appearance at WrestleMania in 2015. She has also famously attended Pro Wrestling Guerilla events in Reseda, California.
Rousey’s friend, and training partner, Shayna Bazler is also a professional wrestler. She competes for numerous independent promotions and recently had a tryout with the WWE.
