UFC heavyweight Alistair Overeem looks to be in great shape going into his next fight at UFC 209.
On Tuesday, a photo of Overeem training for his upcoming fight surfaced on Instagram.
At UFC 209, Overeem will fight fellow heavyweight contender Mark Hunt.
Overeem has won four of his last five fights in the UFC. He is coming off a knockout loss to UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic in September. His four previous wins came against Stefan Struve, Roy Nelson, Junior dos Santos, and Andrei Arlovski. With the exemption of Nelson, all of those wins came by knockout or TKO.
Hunt is coming off a no contest against former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar. At UFC 200, in July, Hunt lost a decision to Lesnar. However, Lesnar later tested positive for banned substances by USADA, which resulted in the fight being overturned into a no contest.
Hunt has since filed a lawsuit against both Lesnar and UFC President Dana White over Lesnar’s failed drug test.
UFC 209 will take place March 4 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley will defend his title for the second time against Stephan Thompson in the main event. UFC lightweight contenders Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson will fight for an interim title in the co-main event.
